Tucson elopements, micro weddings, intimate ceremonies, destination weddings, adventure engagement sessions. These are the buzzwords trending now for the Tucson wedding industry and, let’s face it, around the world. It feels like it took a global pandemic to put couples on the path of honing in, with more thought and not less budget, but budget allocated to the most important things, on what mattered most.
Love.
And really fabulous photography.
This beautiful couple flew in for their Tucson elopement photos, which were actually a post-I-do celebration of their nuptials. M knew what she wanted for her Tucson elopement photos – the golden light through the Saguaros, the sunset on the mountain range, a dreamy and etehreal feel, and a really pretty floral bouquet. Her dress and his suit were perfect for the location. Her flowers delivered. The light was amazing. But their connection and chemistry took center stage.
I really enjoyed the time I spent getting to know M as she planned, and meeting her and her husband L in person. And this one solid hour photographing this beautiful couple who really knew what they wanted was the best way to kick off my busy season!
It has been delightful to be able to fully capture couples in all these spaces – micro weddings, Tucson elopements, destination weddings, or destination adventure engagements. But whether it’s an intimate “I do” with only the photographer, the couple, and the officiant, or a full-blown wedding affair with a wedding planner and all the fixings, doing things your way is the way to go. Make your day what you want it to be. Surround yourself with only the people that matter. Do only the details that are important. Wear what you want to wear, the way you want to wear it. Say “I do” out loud and with intention. And then you can love for a lifetime.
