Kayla + Clayton {sneak peek} PLUS how to edit wedding photos

this beautiful Catalina State Park wedding was so romantic! Kayla and Clayton have the best chemistry! And she surprised him with a puppy during their first look! Here are some of my favorite couple’s photos, including one at the new Tucson Arizona Temple. I cannot wait to share the fabulous details!

In the mean time, for the photographers out there who are looking for behind the scenes peeks at the process behind what I do when I edit wedding photos, it’s multi-step!

  1. First, I go through all the photos I took and cull them in Adobe Bridge. Anything that looks good I put 5 stars on.
  2. I put all the 5 star images into a separate folder and go back through them and compare similar images, eliminating all but the best of them
  3. I then go back and choose about 20-25 favorites that will make a great sneak peek (Like you see in this post!)
  4. I import those favorites into Adobe Lightroom (I am still using Lightroom 5) and edit them with a mind towards my brand – making sure the color and tones and style all represent the best of me
  5. I export the edited images as jpgs and then I fine tune them in Photoshop (CS6), softening skin using Imagenomic Portraiture and adding contrast if needed through a great plugin called RadLab.
  6. Then I resize and watermark and post the photos on Facebook and Instagram
  7. As for the rest of the photos, I send them off to ShootDotEdit for bulk editing and when they come back to me, I make sure everything looks great and finalize the images for delivery to the bride and groom!
