Christine & James: Destination wedding in Charlotte NC

Christine and James. Engaged in Tucson. Married on a beautiful fall day in a destination wedding in Charlotte NC surrounded by family and friends. In a sweet and simple ceremony at their family’s home church in Charlotte, they said “I do”. Amidst the peak colors of November’s gentle fall in the South, they smiled and loved. And at the landmark Olde Providence Racquet Club, they celebrated. It was the perfect day.

The couple got ready in their family’s homes along the quiet streets of a beautiful neighborhood in Charlotte. The home was the perfect setting for the elegant and classic vibe of Christine and James’ details. I am always impressed by the florals created from paper by SylCadle and truly feel like they photograph SO well. Christine and James had a first look on the edge of a lake, sheltered under lush Magnolia trees so distinctive to the southern part of the US. The light was gorgeous. After the first look we did family photos in the same location, then it was on to the church! Following the ceremony we spent some time on the property of the Christ Community Church which had some truly stunning fall colors showing that made for the perfect backdrop. And finally it was time to party! The Olde Providence Racquet club was elegant and cozy on the inside, perfect for this gathering of friends and family. The food was most excellent, and the beer and wine were flowing. The tables were laid with delightfully eclectic vintage china from EverMore Event Company, including silverware and glassware, that blended so well with the decor of the venue. Dancing ensued shortly after dinner and they celebrated into the night.
